Course Description:
The Deep Diving Specialty Course is a professional course that trains divers to plan and dive to a maximum depth of 40 meters, expanding their diving possibilities. The course consists of 5 dives and takes two days, including dives to a depth of 40 meters. The Deep Diving Specialty Course teaches you how to use auxiliary tanks, buoys, and reels, as well as enhancing your diving skills. You will learn emergency procedures and management. Training divers to this level requires an experienced dive instructor with significant deep diving skills, which all of our instructors have. This course is open every week and is considered one of the specializations for the Master Scuba Diver track.
Course Outline:
Prerequisites:
- 2-Star Open Water Diver certification
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Minimum age of 16 years with parental consent
- 40 logged and signed dives in the dive log after certification as a 2-Star Diver (52 in total)
- Rescue Diver and Nitrox certified
Course Modules:
- Computers vs. Tables: History of tables, No decompression time, Use of dive tables according to computer, Safety stops, Problem solving
- Special equipment for deep diving: Tanks of different sizes, Regulators, BCD, Lift bags, Reels, Alternate tank
- Physics and physiology for deep divers: Differences in dives where pressures are higher than 3 atmospheres, Air consumption, Carbon dioxide factors, Nitrogen narcosis, Oxygen toxicity, Decompression sickness
- Emergency procedures for deep diving: Use and techniques of safety tanks, Pressure chambers in the area, CPR and first aid review: Oxygen treatment, Shock treatment

Dive 1: Equipment check - depth gauge, watches and computers, Familiarization with the area, Descent to the planned depth, without exceeding the depth plan, Diving according to plan - maximum depth 30 meters for the first dive, Function check drills under high partial pressure of nitrogen, Ascent to safety stop

Dive 2: Depth/time/air monitoring, Calculating all times on a slate, Full equipment preparation, Leak and computer check, Descent to the planned depth, without exceeding the depth plan, Air consumption calculation, Laying out reel from the vertical and returning, Emergency procedure practice by the instructor underwater, Diving to a maximum depth of 6 meters, Ascent to safety stop
